The Gardens bring to life the prairies that welcomed Lewis and Clark explorers and early settlers, heritage plants from Monticello, farming practices of Thomas Jefferson’s time, outdoor musical instruments to experience, five gardens celebrating the community's namesake: Prairie Garden, Farmer's Garden, Vegetable Garden, Children's Garden & Flower Garden, a replica of the plow Jefferson invented, a full-size statue of Thomas Jefferson, and a beautiful gazebo which is also available for events.
