BYOB: Build Your Own Business is a new quarterly event focused on bringing new, existing, and local entrepreneurs together to learn, connect, and grow. Each session will cover a different topic that supports small businesses at every stage, whether you’re just getting started or looking to build on what you already have.
The first BYOB event will take place on March 2 from 5:30–7:00 pm. The evening will begin with light refreshments and pizza at 5:30 pm, followed by a panel discussion starting at 5:45 pm. This first session, Intro to Resources, will highlight the tools and support available locally for businesses.
Nikki Uebel (with Remax) will kick things off with a welcome, followed by short presentations from representatives of Grow Greene County Development Corporation (GCDC), the City of Jefferson, Jefferson Matters, and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Each panelist will speak for about 10 minutes, with time built in for questions and discussion.
This event is hosted in partnership with Jefferson Matters, Greene County Development Corporation, the City of Jefferson, Small Business Development Center, Iowa Central Community College, Greene County Extension, and HUB 712. Whether you’re looking for resources, connections, or your next step as a business owner, BYOB is a great place to start!
