The year 1855 marks the first settler of Jefferson, Iowa. We are excited to bring you western themed events and attractions to the festival as we celebrate the early pioneers and rich history of our town!

The Bell Tower Festival is Jefferson’s premier summer event, taking place June 12–14, 2025. Held in the heart of downtown, the festival offers a lively mix of activities including a parade, bags tournament, mud volleyball, and live entertainment. Visitors can also enjoy a car show, puzzle and pickleball tournaments, trivia, and a variety of local food vendors. Centered around the iconic Mahanay Bell Tower, this fun-filled weekend celebrates community spirit and small-town charm.

Join artists Tammy Winn and Adam Winn of the Red Door Press for a creative letterpress workshop. We’ll start with a brief talk on what letterpress printing is, then each participant will have the joy of printing their own copy of a pre-designed poster using one of our vintage printing presses. We’ll guide you in the typesetting and printing process as we bring a small part of our Des Moines print shop out to Warm Wishes in Jefferson for an afternoon of printing. Come experience the magic that happens when type meets paper. No prior experience necessary.
