Bell Tower 60th Anniversary

Where: Bell Tower Plaza

Time: 2:00 pm

This event will be held on the plaza area with attendees asked to bring a lawn chair to sit in the shade.

At 2 PM, the Bell Tower Community Foundation will serve refreshments - Better Than Bell Tower cake slices with coffee & water until they are gone.

At 2:30 PM, the program will begin with Don Van Gilder sharing a few stories of the Tower being built in 1966, followed by the introduction of a new branding for the Mahanay Bell Tower. A special Tower Tunes Live Concert will feature four local Mahanay Maestros playing several selections each from the original 1966 dedication ceremony. The genres include religious played by Rita Rasmussen, folk tunes played by Rick Morain, classical played by Rhena Lane, and patriotic played by Danille Curtis. It is anticipated that the program will last one hour.
