Fall Fun in Jefferson: September & October Lineup
How is it already time to talk about fall events in Jefferson? I swear we were just gearing up for Bell Tower Festival! (Although, we’re pretty pumped about all the fall things.)
Fall in Jefferson has a little bit of everything: football weekends, downtown shopping, apple cider, and, of course, plenty of Halloween fun. Here’s a peek at what Jefferson Matters is organizing and promoting this September and October!
September 4 – CyHawk Tailgate & Rams Pep Rally
September 4, 5:00-8:00 PM
We’re kicking off the season with a fall favorite from a couple of years ago (just minus the WHO 13 TV crew!) The CyHawk Tailgate & Rams Pep Rally is back downtown with inflatables, food, music, games, and so much team spirit you’ll be humming the fight song for days.
With the Rams playing Friday night and the Cyclones vs. Hawkeyes showdown on Saturday, this is the perfect way to pack a whole weekend full of football fun.
September 12–13 – Fall Open House
September 12-13, various times!
Who doesn’t love fall candles, cozy sweaters, and all the décor that makes your house smell like apples and pumpkins for three months? 🙌🏼 During Jefferson’s Fall Open House Weekend, retailers are rolling out their seasonal products and fall favorites that will make you want to stroll and shop all day long.
Don’t forget to stop at Country Blessings for their annual Fall Extravaganza, then follow the Destination Vintage shopping trail to Pickaway Americana, Roadside Relics, The Nesting Box, Blue Egg Vintage, and Eweniquely Yours. Each stop has its own unique finds, festive vibes, and that small-town charm that makes fall shopping in Jefferson a tradition you don’t want to miss!
September 16 – After Hours Insider at Power Lift
September 16, 5:30-7:00 PM
Ever wanted a peek behind the curtain of one of Jefferson’s powerhouse businesses? Now’s your chance! Our After Hours Insider this fall takes you inside Power Lift, the local company that designs and manufactures strength training equipment for colleges, pro teams, and high schools across the country.
Reservations are limited to 30 people, so snag your spot soon. Tickets are $10 and include a guided tour (yep, you’ll actually see how the magic happens!) and light refreshments.
October 30 – Spook the Loop
October 30, 4:30-6:30 PM
If you’re a year-round Halloween fan, this is your big event of the year. Downtown Jefferson transforms into a full-on Halloween wonderland for Spook the Loop. Businesses around the square hand out candy and treats to kids and families decked out in costumes, creating a fun and festive night in the heart of town.
Whether you go all-in with a costume or just want to soak in the spooky atmosphere, it’s the perfect way to celebrate Halloween local-style.
More Fall Fun Around Jefferson
Of course, these aren’t the only ways to enjoy autumn here. Jefferson is packed with plenty more fall traditions worth adding to your list:
Java & Juice: Friday mornings at rotating local businesses. Grab a coffee, connect with friends, and stay in the know about what’s happening around town.
Live Music: From Deal’s Orchard to The Courtyard, there’s no shortage of shows to keep your weekends lively.
Deal’s Orchard: It’s practically the fall tradition. Apple picking, the pumpkin patch, hayrides, cider, and the kind of family memories you’ll treasure year after year.
