Volunteer Spotlight

June 15, 2026

Amy Roberts

Amy has been involved with Jefferson Matters for the past 10 years, bringing creativity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to jump into projects wherever help was needed. Her impact can be seen throughout many of the community initiatives and events she has supported over the years.

Tower View Team Chair Deb McGinn shared:

"Amy came to Main Street and really threw her all into our projects. She chaired every yarn bombing event we did in the early years from trees to bicycles. She had everyone learning to yarn bomb! She also stepped up and painted one of our public painted pianos."

Amy's contributions extended beyond public art projects. She also volunteered with the Promotions Team and helped with events such as the Community Christmas Tree Lighting.

Deb added, "An eager volunteer is hard to come by and when Amy walked into that first meeting, we knew she was going to shake things up in a good way."

As Amy prepares to move from Jefferson, Jefferson Matters wants to recognize and thank her for the time, creativity, and energy she has invested in our community over the past decade.

"We would be remiss not to recognize her contributions before she moves from Jefferson later this spring. It will be our loss but Phoenix's gain. We will miss her crazy ideas and those jaunty hats. Thanks Amy for being a great volunteer for Main Street."

Thank you, Amy, for 10 years of service and for helping make Jefferson a more vibrant and welcoming community. We wish you all the best in your next chapter!
